Finding a small stream running from the water heater to the floor drain was not a pleasant surprise, especially when it's Monday morning and I was trying to get to work somewhat on time.
I've called the plumber and he says he'll be here within a half hour. This is for an estimate, not an actual install. More news as it develops.

Date: 2007-04-16 02:34 pm (UTC)I do know that you have to specifically get a high-capacity unit to do more than "one thing at a time" - like run 2 showers, or a shower and dishwasher, or dishwasher and laundry - stuff like that.

Date: 2007-04-16 04:17 pm (UTC)In most cases it's silly to replace a working unit to get a more efficient unit, because the payback (in all ways) is very long, but buying an efficient replacement for a dead unit is sensible.
